Celebrate the Start of Summer at Chester Polo ClubPublished on 6 March 2019
Chester Polo Club fixtures at Chester Racecourse are key events in both the sporting and social calendar. The first of two-weekend tournaments, The White Oak UK Polo Series, takes place at the beginning of summer on the Roodee on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 June.
New for 2019, a brand-new exciting pitch-side location and offering for the general public has been revealed for Saturday 22 June. This extra special new area is set to transform the offering, with the addition of a freeform stretch tent in which hip North West parenting publication ParentFolk will be staging a takeover and running a curated cool line up of family-friendly activities and entertainment.
A special Laurent-Perrier Champagne garden and DJ sets from DJ Goldtash will bring some extra fizz to the afternoon for adults and a diverse selection of pop-up bars from the likes of Black Lodge Brewery and the Gin Bar Horsebox will be serving craft ales and artisan gin – the taste of summer!
Guest appearances from celebrated local street food artists Burger Joes, Forza Pizza, Hardys Big Dub of Love and Hyacinth Ice Cream will ensure all tastes are catered for and a wide selection of the best small plates and global eats are there for the eating throughout the day.
Combined with the excitement of the Finals Day of The White Oak Uk Polo Series 2019, we’ve got the perfect Saturday afternoon for families sorted! Situated in the heart of the City of Chester, the Roodee is perfectly located for an afternoon of enjoyment for the entire family. With excellent transport links directly into Chester and plenty of parking on site, a Chester Polo Club fixture can accommodate groups, families and big social gatherings.
