Georgia Toffolo Takes the Reins in Chester as Ambassador for Great British RacingPublished on 9 May 2019
Georgia Toffolo graced Chester today with her debut performance as a Roving Reporter in her newly appointed role as Ambassador for Great British Racing.
Taking over Great British Racing’s Instagram channel, the TV personality went behind the scenes at Chester Racecourse to show fans everything that goes into a fabulous day at the races.
With her signature smile and infectious personality, Georgia could be found interacting with spectators and chatting to Chester’s most fashion-forward guests throughout the day.
“I had an absolute ball at Chester today and it was great to have an opportunity to report from there. It’s such a beautiful racecourse and they put on a fantastic day of racing,” Georgia said.
With the women of Chester out in full force and showcasing their finest frocks for Ladies Day, Georgia – a bona fide fashion darling in her own right – made sure to focus on raceday fashion and started her day at local charity shop, Share, where she met ITV stylist Sarah Kate Byrne.
In addition to chatting about how to dress for the races, the two fashionistas demonstrated that finding an outfit doesn’t have to break the bank. After narrowing it down to just two options, Georgia gave followers a chance to choose her outfit via an Instagram poll.
“A particular highlight of the day was meeting some lovely locals and also working with Sarah to find an outfit from the charity Share Shop. It’s amazing how many amazing pieces you can find when you look closely!”
Once at the racecourse, recently named by Guinness World Records as the oldest Racecourse in the world, Georgia continued the fashion theme by exploring a display of dresses that women wore to the races in the 1800’s.
For the remainder of the year, the avid horse racing enthusiast will visit five other racecourses across the UK in her new Ambassadorial role to showcase everything that an amazing race day has to offer both on and off the track.
Horse racing is the second biggest spectator sport in the country, with six million people attending each year. As well as top class sporting action, a day at the races is the perfect opportunity to get dressed up and enjoy a day out with friends and family.
