Long-standing member of Chester Racecourse departs after 40+ years of servicePublished on 1 October 2018
94 year old Robert Humphreys affectionately known to friends and colleagues as Bob, retired from Chester Racecourse on Saturday 29 September at the final fixture of the 2018 and after 40+ years of service.
Bob who worked in the Vets sampling box in the stables on a raceday has been based at the current stables site underneath the arches for over 20 years and is one of the few remaining members of staff to have also worked at the old Linenhall Stables site before the stables were relocated.
Chester Race Company would like to acknowledge and thank Bob for his dedication over the years and wish him an enjoyable retirement and the best of luck in the future.
