The White Horse kick the summer holidays off in style

Chester Racecourse on-course family gastropub, The White Horse has an unforgettable summer line up planned, starting with a family social last Last Saturday (21 July) to kick off the summer of fun activities. The summer social was hosted by hip North West publication, Parentfolk as ‘The Ultimate Party Edition’ in a series of weekender events, hosted by the parenting newspaper.

In collaboration with Ginger Monkey Play and CBBC, Parentfolk brought the cool vibes to The White Horse, for the first weekend of the school holidays. Over 700 Chester families danced, crafted, shopped, ate, drank and partied, in what was a spectacular day of fun!

The White Horse has now begun a summer line up of fun, with activities available for little ones, Monday to Friday, throughout the six weeks holiday. Starting with all the fun of the fair, complete with the teacups, giant trampolines, challenging inflatable assault course and more, it is not to be missed.

The second week (Monday 30 July until Friday 3 August) of the summer holidays kicks off with the lovely team at Chester’s own, Mini Makery. Little ones are invited to get messy in the garden with cosmic slime and magnet making for just £3 a go.

During the third week of the summer holidays (Monday 6 August until Friday 10 August), we are inviting our pony pals from Cheshire Pony Parties down to the Racecourse.

To celebrate reaching past the mid-point of the summer holidays (Monday 13 until Sunday 19 August), The White Horse is hosting a week of bouncy fun. Jump on it on one of a selection of bouncy castles in the Paddock, from just £1 a go!

The fifth week of the six week holidays sees the return of The Mini Makery, with nautical crafts in the garden, make your own magical sea creature hat and make some healthy pirate snacks from just £3.

The final week of the summer holiday brings slightly more of a relaxed vibe, with film club. Watch some classic films in out bean bag snug, whilst enjoying a free bag of popcorn!

To keep families fuelled during our summer line up we’re keeping the outside bar and BBQ open every day throughout the school break! Tuck into one of the chefs staked high burgers or delicious tacos.

The kitchen will be open, serving our dishes from our new summer menu – check out the full menu here.

Advance booking is not required for any summer activities, but we do advise booking in advance if you plan to dine inside the pub. To book please call the team on 01244 304 650 or visit
