We are delighted to announce the appointment of Ben Ackland as our new head chef. Ben brings a wealth of experience to our team, his impressive CV comprises of a global career spanning iconic establishments such as The Ivy and Soho House, to multi-million-pound venues in Texas and private dining on the Côte d'Azur.
One of Ben’s first tasks since his appointment has been to create a new menu that nods to the traditions of a truly British pub, but also includes the influence of his illustrious career, as well as the travels on which it has taken him.
The new menu is set to launch on 21stFebruary. It will be Ben’s take on British pub classics; from homemade pies to proper fish and chips, and sticky toffee pudding served with homemade honeycomb. However, there’ll also be a few curve balls that we think are sure to go down well.
New to the area, Ben’s been taking the time to introduce himself to as many local producers as possible and he’s really been blown away by the quality of the produce in Cheshire and surrounding areas. This has encouraged Ben to include as much local produce within the new menu as possible, so guests can expect great tasting, locally sourced ingredients when dining with us.
