Chester Race Company Ltd is a 365 day a year operation, with a portfolio of four eateries in Cheshire. The longest serving restaurant in the division is the renowned 1539 Restaurant & Bar. The inaugural dining establishment opened its doors in 2008 and has since gained a first-class reputation within Chester, serving locals and a loyal community over the past ten years. Initially developed to service raceday diners, the glass-fronted restaurant is situated within the County Stand, overlooking the historic Racecourse and is open throughout the year.
The White Horse was constructed within the Chester Racecourse paddock, and was Chester’s second venture into the hospitality industry, launching in Easter 2014. The family-friendly gastropub offers a casual dining experience, with a relaxed service and quality food and drink. The bespoke, nautical themed play area is a nod towards the Racecourse’s history as is extremely popular amongst local families.
The Race Company broadened its reach into Chester City Centre in 2012 with a third addition to the growing portfolio. Commonhall St Social is located on a hidden side street off the main shopping thoroughfare. This hip venue is known for its fun vibe and eclectic, industry-leading craft beer offering.
The newest addition to the portfolio is The Yew Tree, located in Bunbury, in the picturesque Cheshire countryside. The country pub opened its doors in April 2018 and is now cementing itself as the go to place to visit in Cheshire, known for its top quality menu, local ales and friendly atmosphere.
