CHESTER RACECOURSE HOSTS ITS MOST EXCITING FAMILY FUN DAY YET

Chester Racecourse welcomed 20,000 visitors for one of its biggest and most popular summer events as Family Fun Day returned on Sunday 2^nd August, delivering an exciting day of racing and entertainment for all ages.

Alongside an afternoon of live racing action, the Open Course provided a buzzing atmosphere and a range of hands-on activities, live music performances and fairground rides.

Beloved children’s characters Chase and Skye from PAW Patrol, roamed the racecourse for meet-and-greet sessions with young racegoers throughout the day.

The entertainment continued with a series of tribute performances celebrating some of today’s biggest music stars, including K-Pop Demon Hunters, Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Rodrigo and Taylor Swift, giving young fans the chance to sing and dance along to their favourite hits.

Adding to the festival atmosphere, Raver Tots hosted a family-friendly rave, bringing energetic music, dancing and interactive fun for children and parents to enjoy together.

Chester Racecourse also hosted its annual Pantomime Horse Race in partnership with the Hospice of the Good Shepherd. The much-loved event brought together the local community and businesses to raise vital funds for a deserving local charity.

In racing, champion jockey Oisin Murphy won an incredible four races, including the £60,000 listed feature race, The Queensferry Stakes. He also claimed ‘Ride of the Day’ in race four with Dance In The Storm.
