Ready to get behind the scenes at Chester Racecourse?

If you’re racing media with an RCA Media Accreditation pass, you’re good to go — your pass and car park label will get you access to the racecourse for every fixture on our calendar.

Not RCA-accredited? No worries — just complete the form at the bottom of the page at least five days before the race day you’re planning to attend. Please note, access to the Press Room is reserved exclusively for RCA-accredited media. Wi-Fi and hot desk use may be available for non-accredited media, but it’s granted on a first come, first served basis — so don’t hang about!

Please note that Chester Racecourse has an Official Course Photographer, so we’re unable to approve accreditation for agency photographers.

If you’re applying for media access as a photographer, you’ll need to:

Show evidence of your publication or commissioning outlet

Submit a letter from a commissioning editor (if freelance)

Understand that access will vary depending on your experience shooting horse racing

Due to safety and space limitations, track, Parade Ring, and Winners’ Enclosure access is only granted to RCA-accredited photographers with relevant racing experience. Full details will be shared if your application is successful.

Broadcast Media

Broadcast requests must be coordinated via our broadcast rights holders, Sky Sports Racing. If you’re looking to film or record on site, please contact Sky Sports Racing with full details of your broadcast. You’ll also need to copy in our marketing team.

Media Facilities

On race days, RCA-accredited press members filing copy or images can make use of our Press Room — details and location will be shared in advance of each fixture. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout.
