Music icons Tom Jones and Nile Rodgers & CHIC have announced an outdoor show at Chester Racecourse this summer.

The show will bring together two of the most influential names in music for a special night of live music at Chester Racecourse, featuring decades of era-defining hits. The evening will celebrate their legendary catalogue and highlight why they remain two of music’s biggest names.

Tom Jones is one of Britain’s all-time greatest vocal talents. With a career spanning over 60 years, he has sold over 100 million records, amassed 36 top 40 hits, and received multiple Grammy Awards and
the prestigious Music Industry Trust Award. Known for his unmistakable voice, Jones continues to captivate audiences with his live performances.

Nile Rodgers is a music legend whose influence and music has defined a generation. Co-founder of CHIC, he has created some of the biggest dancefloor hits and produced hits for icons including David Bowie, Madonna, and Diana Ross. A Rock & Roll and Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award winner, Rodgers remains a defining force in music across decades and
genres.

We strongly encourage guests to use public transport wherever possible to help reduce traffic congestion and support our sustainability commitments. Please note that there is no parking available at Chester Racecourse and parking within Chester city centre is limited.

Train:

Merseyrail, Transport for Wales and Avanti West Coast operate regular services into Chester Railway Station. Tickets for services to Chester can be purchased from your preferred rail ticket provider.

The racecourse is approximately one mile walk from the station. The most direct route is via City Road, Foregate Street, Eastgate Street and Watergate Street. Simply follow the signs to Chester Racecourse.

Bus:

Arriva and Stagecoach operate regular services into Chester Bus Station, which is a short walk through the city centre to the racecourse. Tickets and journey planning can be done through your preferred bus service provider.

By car:

If you are being dropped off by car, please use the designated drop-off point at Saddlery Way Car Park. Use postcode CH1 4LD to avoid road closures.

An accessible drop-off point will also be in operation close to the entrance to support concertgoers arriving by taxi or private transport.

By taxi:

Taxi drop-off and pick-up is located outside the Holiday Inn Express at Chester Racecourse. Use postcode CH1 4LD to avoid road closures.

If you are planning to travel to or from the concert by taxi KingKabs is Chester’s leading taxi service. We strongly recommend you book in advance, please download the KingKabs app to book.

General admission can enter the venue through Gate 3A and 4, located in Watergate Square and all gates along Nuns Road.

Hospitality and VIP entrance is Gate Q, via the main vehicular entrance to the racecourse.

Gate Q, Gate 3A and Gate 4 are suitable for those with accessible needs and have suitable ground conditions for wheelchair users and guests with reduced mobility.

Chester Racecourse is a cashless venue. For food and beverage we accept all major debit/credit cards and Apple/Android Pay.

There is no parking available on site at Chester Racecourse. Parking within Chester city centre is limited, so we strongly recommend travelling by public transport where possible. For information on city centre car parks, visit the Cheshire West and Chester Council website.

Chester Football Club is providing 200-300 parking spaces for the concert at £5.

Paid accessible parking is available in the Saddlery Way car park. It must be pre-booked and is on a first come first served basis. A blue badge and photo identification is required when booking and when parking your vehicle. Call 01244 304 610 to book.

An accessible drop-off point will also be in operation close to the entrance to support concertgoers arriving by taxi or private transport.

General admission areas are standing only. The only seating available is included with a gold and silver hospitality ticket, which offers reserved seats along with added comfort and premium benefits.

To help keep walkways clear and ensure everyone’s safety and comfort, personal chairs and gazebos aren’t permitted at the event.

· We operate a strict no re-entry policy

Searches:

· Searches will be in operation at this event – bags will be searched. No bags over the size of A4 will be allowed into the venue.

Following a review of guest feedback and event arrangements, personal chairs will not be permitted within the venue. However, guests will have access to a dedicated respite area with seating towards the rear of the concert arena.

No children under 4 will be allowed to the event. Under 18’s require a ticket and must be accompanied by an adult.

Ticket sales:

· Tickets will be available to purchase on the day.

Refreshments:

· A range of catering, offering a variety of food and drink will be available within the event arena from the time the gates open. All vendors operate a fully cashless system and payments can be made with Credit or Debit cards or Apple/Google Pay.

· Guests are allowed to bring empty drinking bottles or unopened water bottles to the event.

· Food or alcohol is not permitted into the venue.

Toilets:

· Standard and accessible toilets facilities are located throughout the event area.

Weather:

· Make sure to check the weather and bring weatherproof clothing and sunscreen if appropriate.

Mobile coverage:

· There may be limited phone coverage across all networks and as is often the case in large crowds, service may be unreliable.
