Racing into 2026: Chester’s fixture list takes the reins…

Chester Racecourse has today (28 October) unveiled its 2026 fixtures, with something for every racegoer.

The new season kicks off with the much-anticipated return of the Boodles May Festival, with three spectacular days of racing. Boodles May Festival will start with Trials Day on Wednesday 6 May, followed by the glitz and glamour of Ladies Day on Thursday 7 May, and Ladbrokes Chester Cup Day on Friday 8 May.

Then it’s time to race through history at Roman Day on Saturday 30 May – one of two family-focused race days at Chester Racecourse – which will include Roman stunt shows, archery, bootcamp challenges, inflatable slides and a bungee run.

Family Fun Day will take place on Sunday 2 August, bringing a packed line-up of character appearances, inflatable play zones, craft activities, music workshops, and more.

Racegoers are invited to saddle up for a summer of fun with the return of The Friday Social on 12 June, closely followed by The Saturday Social on 13 June, and Summer Saturday on 27 June.

Now in its third year, the much-loved Ibiza Classics Evening is back on Friday 10 July, and the party doesn’t stop there! On Saturday 11 July, it’s Music Weekend Saturday with live music after the racing and more details to be announced…

The Midsummer Meeting will be in full swing on Saturday 25 July, treating racegoers to a thrilling display of horse racing set against the vibrant backdrop of the incredible Chester atmosphere, and hopefully some summer sun!

Powells Jewellery Ladies Day returns on Saturday 22 August, featuring a Best Dressed competition for fashionista attendees, and a post-racing DJ set.

The Virgin Bet Autumn Festival returns for two days of spectacular racing on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 September, paving the way for a fantastic Season Finale on Saturday 19 September.
