Move aside grown ups, it’s time for the little racegoers to have some fun!

Our much-loved Family Fun Day will take place on Sunday 2nd August and as always, promises to be filled with exciting entertainment from start to finish. This raceday really has the community at its heart as we welcome local businesses to host a range of activities for the little ones including fun fairs, inflatable play zones, music workshops, craft activities and much more.

And don’t forget the best bit… children aged 17 or under go FREE!

Highlights

Free Activities For The Little Ones

The little ones will be really spoilt on this day as we’ll transform the Open Course into a hub of activity with more fun things to do than ever before. Don’t forget – all activities are included in your ticket!

VIP Guest

Every year we have a special VIP guest who joins us for our Family Fun Day. Last season, Paddington Bear brought his marmalade sandwiches along to the Open Course for special appearances throughout the day. But who will it be this year? Stay tuned.

Mascot Race

You might see more than just horses here on this raceday!

Following tradition, our Pantomime Horse Race will return to the racecourse and see local businesses help to raise money for the Hospice of the Good Shepherd.

What Should I Wear?

We want you to feel fabulous in whatever you wear on a raceday but we do have certain dress codes for each enclosure. Lucky for you, we have a guide which tells you the yays or neighs!

How Do The Enclosures Differ?

A relaxed family day out, a fun-filled outing with friends or a racing focussed experience – whatever you come the races for, we’ve got enclosures to suit your needs.

Can Children Attend?

You bet they can and even better – children aged 17 and under go FREE! For general admission areas, no ticket is required but for hospitality areas, a pre-booked child ticket is needed. To do this, simply email hospitality@chester-races.com.

*Please note – children are not allowed in The Garden or Winning Post Enclosures – this is where the grown ups let their hair down!

We’re cashless (apart from the bookmakers) For all your drinks and tasty nibbles, we accept all major debit/credit cards and Apple/Android Pay. For placing bets, cash can be used with our on-course bookmakers.
