This week, colleagues from Chester Race Company took to the streets of Chester to take part in a litter pick.

The team, armed with bin bags and high-vis jackets, spread out across the city centre to collect rubbish with a mission to tidy up the streets and create a cleaner environment for all.

Louise Stewart, CEO and chief litter picker for the day, commented: “Chester Race Company is a key part of this city’s identity, which is why it’s so important we contribute to keeping it clean and tidy. It’s hugely important we give back on days like today; even though our racing season is over, that doesn’t mean we take a back seat and stop playing an active role in the community.

“Whilst we clean beyond our boundaries on a raceday, we have a passionate and considerate team who care about the city, so it only makes sense that we extend that passion beyond the racecourse and give back to the community in tangible ways such as this.”
