Move aside grown ups, it’s time for the little racegoers to have some fun!

Our much-loved Family Fun Day will take place on Sunday 2nd August and as always, promises to be filled with exciting entertainment from start to finish. This raceday really has the community at its heart as we welcome local businesses to host a range of activities for the little ones including fun fairs, inflatable play zones, music workshops, craft activities and much more.

And the big news for 2026? No job is too big, no pup is too small – because Chase & Skye from PAW Patrol are on their way to Chester Races!

Don’t forget the best bit… children aged 17 or under go FREE!

PAW Patrol

Get ready for a day packed with adventure as everyone’s favourite heroic pups arrive on Sunday 2nd August for our action-filled Family Fun Day. Straight from Adventure Bay, Chase & Skye will be making special appearances throughout the day.

Bring your little recruits along to join the Paw Patrol mission – meet Chase, the brave police pup, and Skye, the fearless flying ace. Snap a photo with the team, enjoy the excitement, and create unforgettable family memories.

Expect a day full of fun, smiles, and pup-tastic adventures – it’s going to be PAW-some from start to finish!

You might see more than just horses here on this raceday!

Following tradition, our Pantomime Horse Race will return to the racecourse and see local businesses help to raise money for the Hospice of the Good Shepherd.

What Should I Wear?

We want you to feel fabulous in whatever you wear on a raceday but we do have certain dress codes for each enclosure. Lucky for you, we have a guide which tells you the yays or neighs!

How Do The Enclosures Differ?

A relaxed family day out, a fun-filled outing with friends or a racing focussed experience – whatever you come the races for, we’ve got enclosures to suit your needs.

Can Children Attend?

You bet they can and even better – children aged 17 and under go FREE! For general admission areas, no ticket is required but for hospitality areas, a pre-booked child ticket is needed. To do this, simply email hospitality@chester-races.com.

*Please note – children are not allowed in The Garden or Winning Post Enclosures – this is where the grown ups let their hair down!

We’re cashless (apart from the bookmakers) For all your drinks and tasty nibbles, we accept all major debit/credit cards and Apple/Android Pay. For placing bets, cash can be used with our on-course bookmakers.
