The Lord Mayors Spooktacular Fireworks Get ready for things that go fizz, crackle and pop in the night

As the dark nights roll in, we’re bringing you sparkle and delight. If you’re searching for things to do in Chester this autumn or looking for a child-friendly firework display in the North West, we’ve got you covered. Join us for an incredible evening of fundraising and a show-stopping firework display.

Wrap up warm and watch the sky burst full of colour and light as the fireworks dance over our historic racecourse. That’s just the cherry on top – you’ve got the whole cake too. Treat the kids to delicious delights; let them whizz around on all the rides and make memories together under the stars. We have VIP and hospitality packages available for families wanting to add some extra sparkle.

Can I park at the racecourse?

Heads up! There’s no parking available at the racecourse itself. Accessible parking is available just across the road in the council car park opposite the main entrance to the racecourse. Please note, a parking fee applies. More information about parking can be found here.

Will there be tickets available on the gate?

Got some last minute bookers? No problem! You can still bring along friends and family along for a dazzling night. Tickets will increase to £15.00 per person on the gate.

Can I bring sparklers or pyrotechnics?

We know sparklers are a classic but for everyone’s safety, we kindly ask you to leave all sparklers, fireworks, and other pyrotechnics at home. Don’t worry, we’ve got it all covered! Just bring your warm layers, your oohs and aahs, and let us light up the night for you.

Will there be road closures?

Road Closures will be in place from 3pm.

What Should I Wear?

Wrap up warm. Get on your hats, scarf and gloves. And if you’re feeling like a firework yourself, then we can’t wait to see your extra sparkles.

Can Children Attend?

You bet they can and even better – children aged 4 and under go FREE!
We have tickets available for 5-17 year olds alongside adult tickets.

We’re cashless. For all your drinks and tasty nibbles, we accept all major debit/credit cards and Apple/Android Pay.
