Taking over from his mother in 1945 Bernard de Nonancout became chairman and Cheif Executive of the Laurent-Perrier Champagne House for more than fifty years. With his leadership Laurent-Perrier became the world third largest seller of champagne by 2005.

Laurent-Perrier is celebrated for its style and consistency of its quality. Bernard de Nonancourt took over the traditional ways of champagne, launching a new approach at both technical and bleeding levels- creating a new wine with their own history and personality.

In the late 1960s Laurent-Perrier was one of the few champagne houses to opt for stainless steel tanks. these tanks controlled the temperature fermentation, preserving the freshness of the wine and complexity of its aromas. Becoming the first thermo-regulated winery, fifty years down the line Bernard’s daughters Alexandra and Stephanie have renovated Laurent-Perrier’s facilities continuing to drive the standards of their father.
