With 66 races under his belt, Noddy boasts 5 wins, 10 seconds, and 12 thirds. One of those wins was at our sister track, Bangor-on-Dee. Plus, he’s earned over £70k in prize money!

Family Day Fun at Bangor-on-Dee

Hello everyone, Noddy here! Welcome to the first post of my very own blog, “Nodding Around.” On Saturday 20^th April, I had the most amazing time at Family Day at Bangor-on-Dee. Meeting all of you was so much fun, and I must say, I loved all the attention and treats you gave me.

It was hoof-tastic to see how everyone warmed up to me throughout the day. At first, some of you were a bit hesitant to get too close, but by the end, you didn’t want to stop stroking me. It’s always wonderful to make new friends and see those connections grow.

Lazy Days in the Field

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been enjoying some relaxing days in the field. Lots of eating and sleeping under the warm sun – what could be better? Mum even allowed me and my friends to have our rugs off, but I couldn’t really find any mud to roll in, which was annoying. However, I’m definitely very happy to be out on the grass with my friends, soaking up the lovely weather.

Exciting Adventures

But it hasn’t all been about lazy days for me. I’ve been up to some exciting activities too! I’ve been doing pole work, some ground exercises, and of course, some jumping – which I absolutely love. We had a nice practice session to get ready for the summer unaffiliated show jumping events. It was great fun going around a course of jumps, and shall I say… working on my summer body!

I also enjoyed watching our neighbours do their gardening. I was hoping they might throw me a carrot if I stood pretty, and guess what? They did!

Looking Ahead

Stay tuned for more updates on my adventures. Remember, I’ll be visiting racegoers next on Saturday 25^th May for Roman Day in partnership with Via Roma.

I might even secretly try out some free activities on the Open Course, this year Chester have teamed up with Deva Fest to bring an array of performers to entertain us throughout the day, along with music acts. So, if you arrive early, you might catch me enjoying the fun before the crowds show up. Our little secret, okay?
