The County Long Room is located within the main grandstand at the racecourse. Once at the top of the stairs, you will find The Walls Bar to your left-hand side and the County Long Room to your right. The Walls Bar is part of the facilities open to County Long Room badge holders and provides a space away from the main County Long Room from which to enjoy a beverage before you take your seats for the first race.
Gentlemen are required to wear a well-tailored suit or a blazer with smart trousers, together with a shirt, collar and tie. Ladies are required to wear smart dress. Denim jeans of any colour, trainers, shorts, sportswear and fancy dress will not be permitted.
Bringing your own car
On race days, all customer car parking is on a designated area of the Open Course. Car parking can be purchased in advance via our website when booking your tickets, or on the day by cash or card. On arrival, stewards will direct you from the road outside the racecourse, right up until you park your car in its space. Customers are politely asked not to leave their cars on-site overnight and are reminded that all property and valuables are left at the owner’s risk.
County Long Room ticket holders may enter the Open Course, Dee Stand, Tattersalls Enclosure, County Concourse, County Champagne Bar, County Long Room and Paddock. The Paddock is the heart of the racecourse where the Parade Ring is located. Here you can see the horses parade before each race, you can see the winning horse return after each race and watch the presentation ceremony in person each time. County Long Room also gives its ticketholders a wide variety of choice when it comes to where to spend the day. There are a large number of bars on both sides of the track which ticketholders can access, including on the Pavilion Lawn. The Pavilion Lawn is a lively part of the racecourse with track-side seating, pop-up bars, specialist food units and a resident DJ.
No form of furniture i.e. chairs, gazebo’s etc. are permitted in the County Long Room.
There is full cover in the County Long Room as well as in the Paddock and County Champagne Bar. Racegoers are entitled to bring an umbrella with them into the County Long Room for personal cover when outside.
There is seating available in the County Long Room, Walls Bar, County Champagne Bar, Paddock area and Pavilion Lawn on the inside of the track.
