The world-renowned Devil’s Horsemen will form part of a spectacular Chester Racecourse line-up of entertainment for Tote Roman Day on Saturday (27 May).
Britain’s top equestrian stunt team, who provide horses, carriages, riders and horse masters for blockbuster movies and award-winning TV series, are bringing one of their famous displays back to the Roodee for the first time since 2018.
Specialists in the art of performance, having been utilised in productions for Disney, Warner Bros, Universal Pictures, HBO and Netflix, the Devil’s Horsemen are set to put on a Roman Chariot show on the Open Course, re-enacting the races held at the Coliseum more than 2,000 years ago.
Performing in two intervals, each lasting 20 minutes in length, the Devil’s Horsemen will be joined at the racecourse by the Chester Heritage Festival, Roman Centurions from Roman Tours, Camp Curiosity and a host of other activity operators, with leading international sports equipment provider Net World Sports also getting involved.
What’s more, children aged 17 and under can attend the spectacular day, or any other race fixture, for FREE with a paying adult.
For Chester residents, the racecourse is also offering a bring a friend for free ticket promotion to those in CH1 (1-5), CH2 (1-3), CH3 (5) and CH4 (7&8) postcodes. This offer must be redeemed in-person (to a maximum of four tickets) at the Chester Racecourse Box Office, located on Watergate Square, with photographic ID and proof of residence.
