Edinburgh Gin Garden is the perfect spot to get close to the action with prime views over the Paddock and Parade Ring – home to the winning horses, jockeys, owners and trainers. The under-cover Edinburgh Gin Garden offers hosted table service, exclusive betting facilities and a complimentary racecard. All guests also receive a complimentary can of pre-mixed Edinburgh Gin on arrival.
Brand new in 2022, the Edinburgh Gin Garden is also proud to feature its first-class new offering of bespoke cabanas custom built for the enclosure. These cabanas have been built to elevate your race day experience to new heights, with private phone charging points, infrared heating, flat screen TV and lounge furniture in each and every one. These cabanas host a minimum of 16 people, and all group members must also have an Edinburgh Gin Garden ticket as well. The cabana will be your own private space for the day, providing a unique environment for you to lounge and relax in true style and elegance. Edinburgh Gin Garden’s live music offering will be played into your cabana directly to ensure that no matter where you are, you’ll always be able to enjoy the curated atmosphere of the garden.

Gentlemen are required to wear a well-tailored suit or a blazer with smart trousers, together with a shirt, collar and tie. Ladies are required to wear smart dress. Denim jeans of any colour, trainers, shorts, sportswear and fancy dress will not be permitted. In the event of extreme weather conditions, the dress code may change. If the dress code is changed prior to the fixture, all ticket holders will be contacted via email to let them know of the updated dress code. If the dress code changes during the race day, for example no longer needing to wear a jacket or blazer, an announcement will be made over our PA system.
Bringing your own car
On race days, all customer car parking is on a designated area of the Open Course. Car parking can be purchased in advance via our website when booking your tickets, or on the day by cash or card. On arrival, stewards will direct you from the road outside the racecourse, right up until you park your car in its space. Customers are politely asked not to leave their cars on-site overnight and are reminded that all property and valuables are left at the owner’s risk.
Edinburgh Gin Garden ticket holders may enter the Tattersalls Enclosure, County Concourse, Edinburgh Gin Garden and Paddock. The Paddock is the heart of the racecourse where the Parade Ring is located. Here you can see the horses parade before each race, you can see the winning horse return after each race and watch the presentation ceremony in person each time. Within the enclosure, you have access to a private bar and food menu just for guests of this enclosure. You are free to leave the enclosure throughout the day and experience all that the paddock and Chester Racecourse has to offer. The Parade Ring and Pre-Parade Ring are in close proximity, as are the wider food and beverage concessions across the course. There are a large number of bars on both sides of the track which ticketholders can access, including on the Pavilion Lawn. The Pavilion Lawn is a lively part of the racecourse with track-side seating, pop-up bars, specialist food units and a resident DJ.
The Edinburgh Gin Garden features live music by an acoustic performer throughout every race day (amplified by an entertainment system).
This enclosure is for adults only. No under-18’s are permitted.
No form of furniture i.e. chairs, gazebo’s etc. are permitted in the Edinburgh Gin Garden.
There is a good level of cover in the Edinburgh Gin Garden as well as in the Paddock. Cabana’s provide full cover from the elements where as the majority of the Edinburgh Gin Garden’s seating is underneath glass canopies. Racegoers are entitled to bring an umbrella with them into the Edinburgh Gin Garden for personal cover when moving around the racecourse.
There is reserved seating in the Edinburgh Gin Garden for all guests as well as public seating in the Paddock area and Pavilion Lawn on the inside of the track.
Access gates are located on ground level with paved, hard floors. The Edinburgh Gin Garden is located on the inside of the track with the major route a wheelchair-friendly route from the main entrance, underneath the track and across the Paddock into the Edinburgh Gin Garden. The Edinburgh Gin Garden itself is a flat surface made up of artificial and real turf (grass).
The Edinburgh Gin Garden enjoys a private bar for ticketholders only, ensuring quick service and a wide variety of choice. Guests of this enclosure are also offered a food menu exclusively for their use. This can be ordered at the hatch. There is also an even wider choice of food/drink vendors in the Paddock area and on the Pavilion Lawn.
There is a cash machine in the Paddock in the Pavilion Bar.

On arrival you will receive your swing badge for the day as well as a complimentary racecard by your host. There are also dedicated ChesterBET stations and staff for guests of this enclosure.
