Kick start the Summer Holidays with a day of family fun at Chester Racecourse.

It’s back, and it’s bigger and better than ever!

Chester Racecourse’s famous Family Funday returns to the Roodee on 1 August to offer your family unbeatable value for an unforgettable day out. Family Funday is the perfect opportunity to get your kids out of the house and in the fresh air. With our vast racecourse in use for the occasion, it’s the perfect place for a picnic with the family and a chance for kids and adults of all ages to kick back and relax.

In 2020, we were unable to host our much-loved Family Funday for the first time since its debut in 1995 – but we’re definitely making up for lost time. This year, we’re rewinding the clock completely and taking you back to the 80’s! We want to see big hair and bright colours this Summer as we welcome back you and your little ones to the hippest place in town.

We’ve got a wealth of fun games and activities planned for you this year across the open course. The Family Funday at Chester Race’s is the only event families are thinking about this summer season, with all our different and exciting children’s activities completely free to attendees.

To make things extra special for this years Family Funday, we have partnered with renowned publication ParentFolk to bring our vision to life. ParentFolk will be bringing their own brand of effortlessly cool, curated activities to the event and making the whole day an insta-worthy experience.

We’ll be releasing more details on the exciting activities we have planned as we get closer to the 1st. Before then, make sure you get yourselves booked in now to secure your spot at the destination of the Summer. Don’t miss out, book your tickets now (children 17 and under go free).
